About the Role
Responsibilities:
Social Media (55%):
o Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy across
platforms like BlueSky, Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok.
o Create engaging content, including text posts, images, videos, and stories.
o Translate world events, policy developments and details about the MEP’s
work into clear and engaging messaging for citizens
o Maintain and update relevant platforms, including website
Traditional Media (30%):
o Provide media monitoring on relevant issues
o Build and maintain relationships with journalists and media outlets
o Analyze incoming media requests, liaise with journalists to prepare media
engagements
o Draft and disseminate press releases
o Pitch stories to journalists and secure media coverage for the MEP's activities
o Support preparation of MEP for media engagements
o Organize press conferences
Other duties (15%)
o Work with policy advisor colleagues on messaging around specific topics
o Support colleagues with proofreading and speech writing tasks
o Support the organization of events, including related communication
o Liaise with relevant stakeholders, including GroenLinks-PvdA, the Greens-
EFA group, and citizens
o Prepare responses to citizens’ inquiries
o Support the team with other ad-hoc duties
