About the Role
For more than two decades, IOC has led international promotion of Marine Spatial Planning under the Joint Roadmap to Accelerate Marine/Maritime Spatial Planning Processes Worldwide (MSProadmap).
The third phase of MSPglobal (MSPglobal 3.0), launched in mid-2025, aims to build a well-informed global community of MSP practitioners and stakeholders.
The programme will develop new guidelines, training initiatives, global events, and communication products designed to increase awareness and strengthen institutional MSP implementation worldwide.
Communication plays a central role in MSPglobal, utilizing digital platforms including website content, newsletters, publications, and social media channels such as X, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Bluesky, and YouTube.
