About the Role
The successful candidate will:
Support public communications campaigns across Africa to demonstrate growing support for the Fossil Fuel Treaty.
Develop and implement regional communications strategies and country-specific communication plans.
Produce and distribute communication materials, including:
Press releases
Media kits
Email campaigns
Website content
Briefing papers
Talking points
Social media content
Canva graphics where applicable
Coordinate traditional media and digital communications around key regional and national events.
Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists across print, broadcast and online media.
Monitor, track and report on regional media coverage.
Strengthen relationships with campaign partners, supporters and influential public figures across Africa.
Engage civil society organisations, youth movements, Indigenous communities, faith-based organisations, artists, health advocates and other stakeholders to amplify campaign messaging.
Support diplomatic engagement with governments promoting the Fossil Fuel Treaty.
