About the Role
We’re looking for a Digital Content Creator who brings energy, creativity, and a genuine passion for storytelling across digital channels. As the ideal candidate, you’ll instinctively know how to turn key messages into compelling, eye‑catching content that resonates with diverse audiences. You’ll have a strong appetite for digital communications and audio‑visual production, and you’ll thrive in a role where no two days look the same. You’ll enjoy getting hands‑on with filming and editing video, crafting engaging social media posts, capturing high‑quality photography, and designing fresh, creative graphics. Staying ahead of online trends will come naturally to you—and you’ll be excited to explore new ways to make our content stand out. This role sits within a fast‑paced Communications and Engagement team, so you’ll be comfortable adapting quickly to shifting priorities and supporting colleagues where needed. This may include translating written content into French, contributing to our daily press review rota, or helping to maintain our gov.uk web pages. Beyond your core content responsibilities, you’ll also play an active part in supporting the wider network’s corporate objectives, such as staff wellbeing, internal communications, and diversity. You will be expected to support the network’s crisis communications response when required, which may involve occasional out‑of‑hours work. Travel within France may also be necessary, for example during Ambassadorial visits. Additionally, you’ll be responsible for capturing content at Embassy and partner events, some of which take place in the evenings or at weekends. Any time worked beyond contracted hours can be reclaimed as TOIL, in line with the France Network’s Terms and Conditions of Service (TACOS).
